WASHINGTON, D.C., September 25, 2024 – The National Women’s Law Center Action Fund (NWLC AF) has launched a $1.3 million electoral program to mobilize high-potential women voters in key battleground states ahead of the 2024 election.
This comprehensive initiative includes digital ads, phone outreach, text campaigns, and the distribution of voter guides, all designed to support Vice President Kamala Harris for President, alongside Senate candidates Tammy Baldwin (WI), Elissa Slotkin (MI), and Jacky Rosen (NV).
“This election will be decided by turnout, particularly among women of color, working women, and young women in battleground states, who often face systemic barriers at the polls. These gender justice voters overwhelmingly prioritize reproductive freedom, affordable child care, elder care, housing, and creating safe, inclusive schools and workplaces for everyone,” said Annie Weinberg, senior director of civic engagement at NWLC AF. “Our campaign is committed to connecting with these voters on Kamala Harris’ proven track record and bold vision for the future, as well as the Senate candidates who share her commitment to advancing these critical issues.”
Key initiatives of NWLC AF’s electoral program include:
- Voter Guides: NWLC AF has partnered with Mothering Justice Action Fund, One APIA Nevada, Make It Work Nevada, and 9to5 Action Fund to launch new voter guides for Wisconsin, Nevada, and Michigan. These guides provide critical insights on the 2024 election, highlighting the stakes and where candidates stand on key issues like reproductive freedom, economic justice, and child care.
- Phone Outreach: NWLC AF’s joint phone campaign collaboration with Community Change Action has already contacted over half a million women voters in Michigan, Nevada, and Wisconsin. This phone outreach aims to engage undecided voters in these crucial battlegrounds about Kamala Harris for President and key Senate races, to motivate and connect with low-propensity voters, and ensure everyone has the resources to vote by November 5th.
- Digital Ads: NWLC AF has launched four targeted digital ads featuring Vice President Kamala Harris. These ads focus on critical issues such as housing, the Child Tax Credit, reproductive rights, and Trump’s Project 2025. Message testing shows the content has significantly increased excitement among women voters to participate in the upcoming election.
