    1. Along with other Senators in 2023, Sen. Rosen introduced the Paycheck Fairness Act, which “addresses wage discrimination on the basis of sex. Specifically, it (1) limits an employer’s defense that a pay differential is based on a factor other than sex to only bona fide job-related factors in wage discrimination claims, (2) enhances nonretaliation prohibitions, (3) makes it unlawful to require an employee to sign a contract or waiver prohibiting the employee from disclosing information about the employee’s wages, and (4) increases civil penalties for violations of equal pay provisions.”

    2. In a radio interview, Brown acknowledged his vision of federal spending cuts will “take money out of programs that people like,” and promised it would “be painful.”
  2. Establish a comprehensive system for aging and disability care – likely opposes
    1. During a debate, Brown identified the U.S. Department of Transportation, the U.S. Department of Education, the U.S. Department of Energy, and federal “environmental departments and agencies” as parts of the federal government “we don’t need.” When asked if he would include Medicare and Medicaid in that list, he responded “We can start with what I just described.”

    1. The Democratic Platform says “That’s why we’ll keep pushing to restore the expanded Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit, which proved so effective at reducing poverty before Republicans let them expire.”

Sen Rosen was one of five Senators to introduced the PACE Act in 2019, which would “modify the tax credit for expenses for household and dependent care services necessary for gainful employment (known as the Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit) to (1) make the credit refundable, (2) increase the rate for the credit, and (3) require the dollar amounts for such credit to be adjusted for inflation after 2019”
  2. Make the rich pay their fair share 
    1. The Democratic Platform says “A fair tax code is how we invest in the things that make our nation strong, like health care, education, a clean environment, and the national defense.”
