NWLC Action Fund Launches New Ad in Wisconsin Featuring Vice President Kamala Harris’ Leadership on Reproductive Freedom, Calling Out MAGA Republicans’ Abortion Bans
July 18, 2024, Milwaukee, WI – Today, the National Women’s Law Center Action Fund launched its first digital ad of the 2024 election cycle, featuring Vice President Harris delivering a powerful message about protecting abortion rights nationwide.
The Biden-Harris administration’s clear track record of leadership on abortion sits in stark contrast to Trump, J.D. Vance, and the MAGA Republicans who took the stage at the RNC. These extremist right-wing politicians brag about overturning Roe and are now pushing even more extreme and unpopular policies that endanger women and families nationwide—including a national abortion ban, restricting access to birth control and IVF, and criminalizing abortion providers.
This ad launch comes just after leaders of many of the country’s most influential organizations spanning the reproductive freedom, care economy, LGBTQ+ rights, voting rights, gun violence prevention, and labor movements released a memo highlighting Vice President Kamala Harris’ exceptional record of leadership and calling on allies to join in uplifting her qualifications, despite racist and sexist attacks from the RNC, JD Vance, and Trump himself.
The digital ad can be viewed here, targeting over 20K women under 45 in the Milwaukee area.
“The Biden-Harris administration has built a track record to be proud of on protecting abortion rights, unlike the MAGA Republicans we saw onstage in Wisconsin this week. These extremists aren’t done attacking reproductive rights—they won’t be satisfied until they have achieved a national ban and restricted access to IVF and birth control. They lie about their own agenda because they know it’s wildly unpopular.
Meanwhile, Vice President Harris is the first sitting vice president ever to make an official visit to an abortion clinic. She is a proven champion for reproductive freedom. The National Women’s Law Center Action Fund is ready to make sure women in Wisconsin hear this vital message from the vice president herself,” said Annie Weinberg, director of civic engagement, National Women’s Law Center Action Fund.
